According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it is territory and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (1.48%) is water.

Harrington is positioned at a barns junction along the Delmarva Central Railroad between the north-south line between Porter, Delaware and Pocomoke City, Maryland and a branch line heading from Harrington east and south to Frankford, Delaware.

Harrington is home to Harrington Raceway & Casino, which is positioned at the Delaware State Fairgrounds.
